Swinging

All three of the boys LOVE to swing. Benjamin and Will are doing very well this year on the sling swing. (Although we don't leave them alone) Zach likes the bucket or the baby swing which ever he can get his mouth on. In these pictures, Will is having a good time, however he had just tried a swig of the bubble solution. Apparently it did not taste very good!!!

Beautiful Days, Beautiful Boys

Bryan left today for Pittsburgh, he will be there for the next 8 days. It was a beautiful day out today so the boys and I played outside as a distraction that daddy is gone. Zachary tried carrots for dinner this evening, orange did a bit better than green. Can you guess what goes well with carrots? -- TOES!!! Outside we got out our big airplane to fly around. This was a HUGE hit!! The boys loved it!!! We also played with our new bubbles from Grandma and Grandpa Easter Bunny. To say the least we had a great time playing!!!

Chompers!!

Zachary is working on a couple chompers. He will break the lower left first I predict. We must use caution with Zach as anything and everything goes right to the mouth. He had a graham cracker the other evening, not to worry he did not choke or anything...trust me I was inches from him the entire time!!! He likes his little mesh net thing as well. He has had strawberries and grapes. He had a biter biscuit as well. We have also offered peas and green beans, neither to his liking. The green beans were easier on the palate than the peas though.

Update on Benjamin

Benjamin is doing very well right now and still is doing new things every day/week. He is still uber paranoid about his ears. Recently he had his sedated hearing test which to our surprise showed a mild to moderate mixed hearing loss in the right ear. It is a permanent loss, so much to Benjamin's dismay he was fitted with a hearing aid. We will get the hearing aid in a couple weeks so we will keep you updated. Friday we saw a neurologist with little result, Dr. Khan did not really seem to think neurology was the way to go so he referred us on to a Neuropsycologist. The titles keep getting bigger.
Benjamin will be going to Kindergarden next fall. He will continue in a special education program and from what we have heard, he will have a wonderful teacher. Benjamin's teacher for next year has been observing him at his preschool, and in a couple weeks he will do his kindergarden screening. More of a formality than anything. We continue to learn new things everyday with Benjamin. This summer we are contemplating starting the diet approach (gluten free/casein free). That seems like a lot of work and I have to do a lot of learning prior to starting this. We will keep everyone updated!!!!

More Easter shots!!

Zachary tried peas for the first time on Easter Sunday, although he was not a huge fan, he tried them. Jack slept most of the afternoon, but what else does a 2 week old have to do. Will loves playing with Rylee and Benjamin even shared his DVD player with them for a few minutes.

Trying to get a family shot

We tried, and I emphasize tried to get a family shot of the 5 of us! This is what we got. The boys all looked so cute in their matching outfits (even Daddy!) Believe it or not Zach's shirt is a 12 month shirt and he is only 5 months old today!!

Hunting our Easter Eggs

Easter Sunday we had a good time with Grandma and Grandpa Collins, Aunt Amy, Uncle John, Rylee and Jack. Johns mom Georgine and brother Brandon also came to help us hunt our Easter Eggs. It was nice outside so the Easter Bunny hid our eggs in the backyard. Each child found 4 eggs and we were surprised at how much they enjoyed the egg hunt.

Dying Easter Eggs

We dyed Easter Eggs on Saturday before Easter. I think Bryan thought I was crazy giving the kids dyes to color the eggs but it all turned out ok and the kids had a good time. Zachary even got in on the action with my help.

The park at sunset

Our last night in Florida we enjoyed the sunset at Ponce DeLeon Park, OK we enjoyed the park. The boys had a blast playing on the swings.

T-Rex

For Benjamin's birthday dinner we went to a new resturant at Downtown Disney called T-Rex (it is by the same people who do Rainforest Cafe). Yes we too were wondering how on earth the boys would survive eating with lifesize dinosaurs. The boys all did remarkably well, we even ate right under the T-rex. The boys also got to build a dinosaur (instead of build-a-bear). And just in case you are wondering, Benjamin covered his ears while they sang happy birthday. A little loud for Benjamin there.
