Well I realize I have not posted anything in nearly 2 months. WOW - how time flies!! I try to think what all we have done. July and August have been busy in and out of the Collins household. The week prior to the 4th of July, Benjamin started Extended School Year services at his "new" school. The program was 3 days per week for 6 weeks. He did very well and worked with his teacher for Kindergarten. The 4th of July came and went, Bryan's parents joined us for a chilly fourth and Uncle Rick and Aunt Elizabeth joined us for a little warmer 5th of July. Will has now deemed them Uncle Elizabeth and often asks where Uncle Elizabeths dog is, Will loves puppies or dogs!!! The next week was plagued with a Zachary ear infection and the eruption of several teeth, not a fun week in anyones book. Will made a visit to the ENT as well and was scheduled for tube placement and removal of his adenoids on the 20th of July. A couple days later we took the big boys to the local amusement park, Kings Island. It was nice to have a day to play as a family. A big moment this summer was Will's 3rd birthday. He had been planning and talking about his birthday for weeks. He wanted a race car birthday party with a green race car cake. Uncle John made a fabulous green race car cake! Will turned 3 on Friday July 31st and Saturday we had a little family party. Amazingly it was already August. Little Zachary had yet another ear infection and is now on slate to get his first set of tubes next Thursday August 27th!! The weekends have stayed busy as well as I attended my 15 (14th) year reunion from high school on August 1st and the next weekend we spent at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling WV for a Messerly Family Reunion. Then from there we headed east for a week at Ocean City, NJ. A wonderful week at the shore has created many memories that will last forever. On the way back we stopped at Sesame Place in Pennsylvania to see some friends we has in Kansas (they now live in CT.) Not the best day to be at Sesame Place hot and packed!! Will did enjoy the Elmo -live! show. We then headed home- drove home!! As we arrived home, Bryan said just think, you have to be at work in less than 12 hours! And yes I did, what a fun thought. In all of this Bryan spent a few weekends away for the Reserves, we have been desparately trying to potty train Will with little success. Next week Benjamin starts Kindergarten and Will starts preschool!! Thats where our summer has gone. In the next few posts I will share a few pictures of each activity -- Enjoy!!
