Daddy's little helpers

Labor Day weekend, we made Daddy labor!!! We have been wanting to finish/ organize the garage. We got a good start but still have work to do. The boys favorite part was climbing the ladders. They also both got a chance to put Daddys skill to the test!!!

We visited Grandma and Grandpa Rices neighborhood pool one warm Friday afternoon. The boys love the water and are wanting to swim without aid.

First Day of School

August 20th Benjamin started school at Centerville Preschool. He has the same teacher as last year, MrsDahl. He also receives speech and occupational therapy at school. He seems to be very comfortable there and doing very well. I still wish he could tell me that he had "fun at school" or not - someday. He always gets off the bus smiling and happy so I guess that is all I could ask for. Will loves to see the bus everyday and is always excited when brother gets home from school/

Chicago Air Show

The weekend before Benjamin started school (Aug 16 and 17), the boys and I braved the car once again and drove to visit Grandma and Grandpa Collins in Chicago. Daddy flew in Friday evening to join us as well. The weekend wore everyone out I think, but Saturday was every little boys dream. We rode a train, boats and saw lots of planes as it was the Air Show. We joined the thousands of people that were at the Navy Pier in near 90 degree weather to enjoy the afternoon. It was a fun afternoon!!!!

A visit with Daddy in Pittsburgh!!!

Although these pictures are a bit delayed, we went to Pittsburgh to visit Bryan the first weekend in August. On this trip we went to the Children's Museum and the Duquesne Incline on Saturday and on Sunday we travelled to Berlin Center, OH to visit Kim, Kirk, Hannah and Olivia. You will soon see that I have absolutely no pictures of our visit with Kim and Kirk but we had a fun Sunday swimming and playing toys. The boys and I then headed home on Monday morning. We returned the next weekend for a quick visit and then headed back to Dayton on Monday once again. We then arrived home and unpacked, only to pack up again and we drove this past weekend to Chicago to visit Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa Collins. I think the boys and I have spent enough time in the car for a while.

Our BIG Announcement

As everyone knows, we are expecting our third little baby in just a few months. With both Benjamin and Will we waited until they were born to find out "what we were having." We decided to do things a little different this time and found out at the ultrasound what we are going to have. So we are expecting another little boy!!!! Shew ...we won't have to change the name of the blog!!!! We have tossed out SEVERAL names and are nowhere close to a decision!!!

Life's a beach!!!!

Mommy and Daddy bought the boys a sandbox for Will's birthday. Will calls it his beach and always wants to play at the beach. We have had hours of fun at the beach so far, and thanks to Aunt Amy and Uncle John we have lots of fun toys to play with!!!!

Will turns 2!!!!

Will loves baseball (any ball for that matter) but we had a great time at the ball game
Rylee actually kissed the dragon but the boys are not real fans- Benjamin was not excited about the meeting and Will as you can notice is no where to be found.

Our family has been busy the fast few weeks, we celebrated Will's second birthday with friends and family at a Dayton Dragons baseball game and then on his actual birthday we had cake and presents etc. We had lots of fun!!!

Cowtown

Our first adventure in Wichita was to the Old Cowtown Museum. It was hot outside but we had a good time. Cowtown is an open air museum, there were horse drawn wagon rides and even a shootout at the old Saloon. Benjamin, to my surprise, loved driving the wagon.

Botanica

The boys and I spent an afternoon walking thru the flower and butterfly gardens at Botanica. The smell was wonderful and so peaceful even with two little boys!!!

Benjamin in the Zoo!!!!

I am not sure I can count how many times Benjamin has been to the zoo. When we arrived at the Zoo it was 69 outside and Benjamin was literally shivering!!!! It turned out to be a very nice day once it warmed up a bit.
